Free 20's Women's Hat with Bow Knitting Pattern

Yarn


 75 g Aran weight yarn, 87 yards (80 meters) /50 g for example Knit Picks Comfy Aran

Needles


Circular needle for magic loop OR a set of dpn's and long needles. 7 mm or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge: 14 st = 10 cm / 4”


Pettern starts!

The Bow


 On 7 mm needles CO 100 st.
 Rows 1 to 7: K til the end, turn.
 Next row: BO 20 sts, K 60 st, BO 20 st. Cut yarn. Turn.

The Body


Attach yarn and start knitting in rounds (switch to dpn's if that's your choice) from the last st knitted.

Rnd 1: K to end.

Rnd 2: P to end.

Rnd 3: K to end.

Repeat these three rounds 13 times or until you reached the desired length.

The Crown


Rnd 1: *K2tog, K8; rep from* to end of round.

Rnd 2: P to end.

Rnd 3: K to end.

Rnd 4: *K2tog, K7; rep from * to end.

Rnd 5: P to end.

Rnd 6: K to end.

Rnd 7: *K2tog, K6; rep from * to end.

Rnd 8: P to end.

Rnd 9: K to end.

Rnd 10: *K2tog, K5; rep from * to end.

Rnd 11: P to end.

Rnd 12: K to end.

Rnd 13: *K2tog, K4; rep from * to end.

Rnd 14: P to end.

Rnd 15: K to end.

Rnd 16: *K2tog, K3; rep from * to end.

Rnd 17: P to end.

Rnd 18: K to end.

Rnd 19: *K2tog, K2; rep from * to end.

Rnd 20: P to end.

Rnd 21: K to end.

Rnd 22: *K2tog, K1; rep from * to end.

Rnd 23: * K2tog; rep from * to end.
