Yarn
3 skeins of Aran weight, 150 m (164 yards) / 100 g The sample uses 3 skeins of Garnstudio; DROPS Nepal; 65% wool, 35% alpaca, in color 4434, Purple Heather and is size 39 EU.

Needles
5 mm (8 US), set of 5 Double Pointed Needles, or size to obtain gauge.

Gauge
17 sts and 28 rounds = 10 cm (4 inches) in stockinette stitch, knitted in the round and after wet blocking.

Notes
I have not assigned a short row turn (w&t) for the heel, you can use which ever method feels the best for you. You can even do a flap heel as long as you follow the stitch pattern for the first 13 (for left foot) and 14 (for right foot) rows.

Abbreviations for the cables
2/2 LC: Slip next 2 stitches to cable needle and place at front of work, k2, then k2 from cable needle
2/2 LPC: Slip next 2 stitches to cable needle and place at front of work, p2, then k2 from cable needle
2/2 RC: Slip next 2 stitches to cable needle and place at back of work, k2, then k2 from cable needle
2/2 RPC: Slip next 2 stitches to cable needle and place at back of work, k2, then p2 from cable needle
