Faith, Hope, Charity - Stranded Colorwork Knitting Pattern | Cross Anchor Heart
Faith, hope and charity (Tro, Hopp och Kärlek in Swedish, Usko, Toivo ja Rakkaus in Finnish) is a Christmas decoration in my hometown. Since 1913, around Christmas these symbols
are hung up over the main street and lit up. There are mentions about this tradition from even before 1850. It’s a
very beautiful sight, whit the darkness and white snow!
Even though Faith, Hope and Charity are Christian origin, my intention is not to bring up this side of it, it’s
mainly homage to this tradition and my hometown. Smaller symbols are found in windows of almost every
house in town.
