Where the river divides
In Finnish mythology, the river Tuonela separates the living from the dead. In these socks, winding cables run down the front and back of the leg, separating smooth stockinette from cosy garter stitch. The two socks are mirror images, so the garter side always faces out.
Worked cuff down in DK-weight yarn, Tuonela River is a quick, warming knit with a shaped leg, a heel flap and gusset, and a grafted toe. Now in a fresh new layout.
